Message to Exhibiting Artists:
This show is a celebration of watercolors and watercolor artists of Indiana. You do not have to be a current member of The Watercolor Society of Indiana to participate. However, all participants in this show must be 18 and older and a current resident of Indiana.
Each participant may display up to two framed, ready to hang paintings. The cost is only $10 per person. All participants, whether a member or not, must register through The Watercolor Society of Indiana. Deadline to enter is Tue., Dec. 27, 2022.
Delivery Dates
- You may deliver your paintings directly to the library between 12:00 pm and 6:00 pm on either Tues., Jan. 3 or Wed. Jan. 4, 2023.
- If you would like a member of WSI to deliver paintings to this exhibit from Indianapolis, IN., you must drop off your paintings to the WSI Office by the end of the day Friday, Dec. 30th. The office is open 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Be sure to have them labeled.
Art Requirements
All paintings to be hung must be clean, non-political, no saw-toothed hangers and in stable condition to travel. No size limitations. Paintings must be of watercolors and/or a mix of water medium.
Artwork must be properly labeled on the back of the work with:
- Artist Name
- Media
- Title of Work
- Price or NFS.
Artwork may be for sale, but it is not required. WSI will handle all sales and sales tax. The artist receives 90% commission.
Art Images
Please submit an image of each painting if possible. This is not required but will be used on the WSI Website to promote the sale of each painting.
Risk
The Watercolor Society of Indiana will exercise diligent and reasonable care, but neither WSI nor Allen County Public Library shall be responsible for loss or damage to any painting. By participating in the show, the artist assumes all risk and agrees to the rules and conditions of this prospectus.
Pick Up Dates
Please pick up your paintings between 12:00 pm and 6:00 pm on either Mon., Feb. 27 or Tue., Feb. 28, 2023. A photo ID is required. If your painting was originally delivered from Indy, it will be available for pick up at the WSI office following the show. If your painting sold the buyer has permission to pick it up. Unclaimed paintings become WSI property.
Opening Reception
Saturday, Jan. 7 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. Everyone is encouraged to attend the free Opening Reception at the Jeffrey R. Krull Gallery, 900 Library Plaza, Fort Wayne, IN 46802. Located inside the West entrance at the Main Library. Open to the public.
