Dr. Robert (Bob) Bratton was a friend to many who offered a kind smile, always with words of encouragement. His generosity of spirit lives on in the many watercolors he created over the course of his life and through the lives of experienced and budding artists who called him mentor, teacher, and friend.
Bob’s friends at Between Paper and Palette and the Second Presbyterian Fine Arts Advisory Team are hosting an exhibit of Bob’s artwork. You are invited to a reception with John and Eric Bratton on December 11, 2022, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Second Presbyterian Church. Refreshments will be served.
Active in the Second Presbyterian music and fine arts ministry, he served on the fine arts advisory team, sang in the Sanctuary Choir, and taught watercolor classes. Bob’s artwork won numerous awards including merit awards for watercolor and “Best Scene” and “People’s Choice” award in the Hoosier Salon; the Presidents’ Award and the George Elliott Memorial Award in the Watercolor Society of Indiana’s annual juried exhibit; merit awards in the Indiana Artists annual juried exhibit; the Indiana State Fair and the Will Vawter exhibit in Greenfield, IN.
